Christian = Generous

Tim Tebow is a media Icon who burst onto the scene as a national champion football player and won the 2007 Heisman Trophy. Between professional football and baseball, he is more than just an athlete.
He’s the most well-known Christian athlete of his generation. He first became recognized for witnessing his faith by wearing eye black on the football field that included Bible verses. Later, the “Tebowing” move, in which he goes down on one knee and holds a clenched fist against his forehead while playing during the games, became even more popular.
Tebow might also be becoming one of the great philanthropists of his generation. In 2010, he founded the Tim Tebow Foundation to bring faith, hope, and love to those in need of a brighter day in their darkest hour. After ten years, the Tim Tebow Foundation has grown into one of the largest charities founded by an athlete or coach, with more than $12 million raised.
2 Corinthians 8 – Be Thankful
Second Corinthians 8:9 shows Paul’s concern that believers should be willing to sacrifice not only their money but themselves for the sake of others in the community. He told them about the generosity of the Macedonian churches and how this attitude is fundamental to the faith. The reason Tim Tebow has been so generous with both his time and financial resources is his thankfulness for what God has done for him. When asked about giving, he said, “I’m just thankful for everything, all the blessings in my life. I think the best way to start your day and finish your day is to be thankful, which puts everything in perspective.”
The Kingdom Coach and Athlete are motivated to give generously because of their gratitude towards God (2 Cor. 9:7). They know that stewardship includes not only their possessions but also their lives.
