Making Disciples
in NEBRASKA
Roy is passionate about passing on what was given to Him: Doing sports God’s way. He played football for 4 seasons at Nebraska, from 2007-2010
During his freshman year, Roy began following Jesus and was immediately discipled in competing biblically. It left an impression on him that carried throughout his football career
Roy went on to play six years in the NFL, from 2011 to 2016, for the Washington Commanders and Las Vegas Raiders.
After Roy’s NFL career, He and his bride, Danielle, moved to Bennington, Nebraska, in 2017, where they currently reside, with their 6 children: Ziegler, Vili, Malakai, Nola, Kenton, and Hosea. Upon moving to Nebraska, the LORD made it apparent that they were to serve their neighbors as missionaries.
In 2020, they planted a church in Bennington, which grew out of their neighborhood Bible study, where Roy served as a co-lead pastor for 5 years. He stepped down from the pastorate at the end of 2025 and discerned that the LORD was reassigning his family to serve their city as a sports missionary with Kingdom Sports
