WE TRAIN COACHES AND ATHLETES TO COMPETE BIBLICALLY

Victory Songs

I was competing in sports during college when the classic rock song “We Are the Champions” was released in 1977. Within a short time, I began to hear the music played at nearly every game. It quickly became one of the most recognized anthems. Besides being one of the catchiest songs in history, it was the perfect anthem for victories at sporting events, including the 1994 FIFA World Cup. The rock band Queen also had two other great songs about winning, “Another One Bites the Dust” and “We Will Rock You.”

Psalm 148-150 – Praise Crescendo

Celebrating a victory is great, but true worship is magnificent because God is truly awesome! The Book of Psalms comprises 150 individual psalms, each encompassing a range of themes, from praise and lament to thanksgiving and songs of ascent. These are songs that not only celebrate victories but also serve as hymns of worship to God.

Authentic worship is the most soul-thrilling and heart-stirring experience any Christian can have. Nothing about worship is boring. Psalm 150 is the last Psalm, and it contains the final great hallelujah. Its message is clear: All that has life and breath should praise the Lord. Only God is worthy of praise, and Psalm 150 serves as the final crescendo to the Book of Praise.

The Kingdom Coach and Athlete honor God by praising Him for His powerful acts, which refer to the major areas of His divine works (i.e., creation, providence, salvation, and judgment).

Bible Memory Verse – “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105 (LSB)
