WE TRAIN COACHES AND ATHLETES TO COMPETE BIBLICALLY

Hall of Fame

There was still baseball in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, but there wasn’t any in Cooperstown. Derek Jeter and other future Hall of Famers would have to wait another year for their induction ceremonies. They were expecting a record crowd of more than 70,000 that year, primarily because of Jeter.

The Hall of Fame has held an induction ceremony in Cooperstown every year since 1961, with only a few exceptions, including years when no new members were elected and during the travel restrictions related to World War II. The Hall of Fame’s mission is to preserve the sport’s history, honor excellence within the game, and connect generations of people who love baseball.

Hebrews 11 – Enduring Confidence

The Bible also preserves and honors another group, often called the Hall of Faith. Hebrews 11 honors God’s servants who lived to make Him known here on earth and now worship Him around His throne in Heaven. Abraham, Moses, and Joseph trusted God and used their lives to glorify Him. Women like Sarah, Rahab, and Ruth did as well. Their faith is what God used, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for” (Hebrews 11:1-2)

Faith is the total commitment of one’s life to God. It is a confidence and a firm conviction that God can be trusted to keep His promises amid life’s difficulties. The word faith means belief, trust, and confidence. It is taking God at His Word, relying upon His grace, and living it out!

The Kingdom Coach and Athlete trust God to accomplish His assignments during difficult circumstances like the “heroes of the faith” listed in Hebrews. They depend on God’s power, providence, and presence to live their lives and glorify Him.

Bible Memory Verse – Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the men of old gained approval. By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.” Hebrews 11:1-3 (LSB)
