WE TRAIN COACHES AND ATHLETES TO COMPETE BIBLICALLY

Who Was the Greatest

John Wooden was known as The Wizard of Westwood. He was the first player to be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame both as a player and as a coach. He won a record 10 NCAA Championships in only 12 years while coaching UCLA. Wooden posted a 620-147 record with the Bruins. He owns the all-time consecutive winning streak record of 88 games, and his Bruin teams earned 19 conference championships. Many call him the greatest coach of all time, regardless of sport.

Malachi 1 – Prophetic Bridge

Malachi prophesied during the time of Ezra and Nehemiah and was the last of the Old Testament prophets. The next prophet to speak for the Lord would be John the Baptist. Malachi predicted the coming of John the Baptist and the coming of Jesus Christ. The book begins with an emphasis on the greatness of God.

The name God uses in Malachi 1:4 is “Lord of hosts.” That is, “the Lord of the armies,” a name used twenty-four times in Malachi and nearly three hundred times in the Old Testament. The Lord is the Commander of the hosts and heaven: the stars (Isa. 40:26).

The Kingdom Coach and Athlete recognize the greatness of God and serve Him as their ONLY Commander.

Bible Memory Verse – “For behold, ‘the day is coming, burning like a furnace; and all the arrogant and every worker of wickedness will be chaff; and the day that is coming will set them aflame,’ says Yahweh of hosts, ‘so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.’” Malachi 4:1 (LSB)
