A dynasty is defined as a succession of rulers or a powerful group that maintains its position for a considerable time.

The New England Patriots dynasty in the Brady–Belichick era is the most significant modern-day sports dynasty. It was constructed by quarterback Tom Brady and coach Bill Belichick. They have led the Patriots in the NFL since 2000. Appearing in more than nine Super Bowls (more than any other franchise) and winning six.

Belichick and Brady created the culture around the team, dubbed the “Patriot Way,” which is built on personal accountability, consistent improvement, and a focus on team success over personal gain.

While the plan for the “Patriot Way” is impressive, it pales when compared with God’s plan for redeeming the world in the book of Acts. It wasn’t a new plan; it existed in the mind of the Creator long before the Patriots won their first Super Bowl.

Acts 1 – The “Jesus Way”

The plan of God has always been to send His Son, who would succeed where Israel had failed, suffer on behalf of His people, and conquer death on the third day. Remember, God has always called people to repent of sin, receive His forgiveness, and trust that His grace is sufficient to save. Acts 1 sets the stage for the coming of the Holy Spirit in the next chapter.
