WE TRAIN COACHES AND ATHLETES TO COMPETE BIBLICALLY

Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021!

The effects of COVID-19 changed everyone’s lives in 2020. It has also altered how the professional sports world functions. In March of 2020, we had to watch leagues put a pause on their seasons. From basketball to baseball and soccer, the leagues were in a state of delay. We witnessed “The Bubble” NBA finals occur while at the same time seeing soccer, baseball, hockey, and even football played in empty stadiums. Now, the question all sports fans asked themselves as we entered the start of a new year was, “What is going to happen with our professional sports?”

Genesis 8-9 – A New Beginning

God “started over” with eight people after the flood. But world conditions became vastly different from conditions before the flood. Deep canyons tore the earth’s surface, and huge mountains uplifted. Strong winds, extremes in cold and heat, and natural disasters raked the earth. Animals now feared man (9:2) in this restart.

The next time you face adversity, Genesis 8 can give you new hope and encouragement because the chapter’s central theme is renewal and rest after tribulation. The chapter records the end of a storm and the beginning of new life and hope for God’s people and God’s creation.

The Kingdom Coach & Athlete take courage from what God did after the flood. They are encouraged by God faithfully protecting Noah and his family, who faithfully obeyed God from His judgment.

Bible Memory Verse – “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1 (LSB)
