WE TRAIN COACHES AND ATHLETES TO COMPETE BIBLICALLY

Time to Dance!

End zone celebrations or dances have been going on for half a century in the NFL. Whether it was the “Ickey Shuffle” by Ickey Woods or Billy “White Shoes” Johnson, one of the first to bring dance moves to the end zone, fans have been watching players celebrate their success by dancing or spiking the football. These celebrations are usually pivotal moments in the games.

Acts 3 – Adversity turns to Rejoicing!

In Acts 3, we are introduced to a disabled beggar who dances after he is healed by Peter and John. This represents a pivotal moment in church history by triggering events in Acts that forever changed the way we understand the power of the Holy Spirit and Jesus’ command to take His gospel to all the world.

Peter and John turn adversity into an occasion for rejoicing; by taking a circumstance that was an impossibility, they turned it into God’s opportunity for the beggar to turn to Jesus. The disabled beggar had no way to beat his adversity. No amount of human ability or creativity could help—only God could do what no one else could do.

The Kingdom Coach and Athlete know they will not always get what they want or receive a miracle like the beggar in this story, but they know God will do what is best for them and their team. They ask God what they want but leave their own expectations behind. They know God hears, and He will respond as He chooses.
