WE TRAIN COACHES AND ATHLETES TO COMPETE BIBLICALLY

Ultimate Victory

The St. Louis Cardinals beat the L.A. Dodgers 1-0 in Game 2 of the 2013 National League Championship Series, thanks to 22-year-old rookie Michael Wacha’s pitching. During the sixth inning, the Dodgers had runners on second and third with no outs and later loaded the bases with one out. Wacha managed to pitch himself out of the jam to victory. When asked how he dealt with the pressure, he said, “I listened to Yadi.”

Catcher Yadier Molina is the leader of the Cardinals. In addition to being one of their best players, he has guided his young pitchers to victory in challenging situations.

Psalm 108 – Praise Him Daily

Even as God used enemies to punish Israel (1 Samuel 108:11), King David remained confident of ultimate victory. He lifted his thoughts above his circumstances, arising before dawn to praise God with all his heart. David’s musical skills brought him fame, but he used them to honor God, not to impress others. Praising God aligned his heart and adjusted his attitude.

Do you need a reminder of God’s “exceedingly great and precious promises” (2 Peter 1:4)? As the enemy of our soul wages fierce spiritual warfare, do you take time to praise and thank God for ultimate victory? He will deliver us just as He delivered David.

The Kingdom Coach and Athlete believe in God’s ultimate victory over sin and death. They live their lives free from circumstances and praise God with all their hearts.

Bible Memory Verse – “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105 (LSB)
